						 <p>Hi. It might help to assign specific roles during the first few group work sessions (recorder, reporter, reader) and clearly define the roles before they begin. You will probably also have to model this with a group of students for everyone to see before they begin.</p>

						 <p>I will be teaching Chinese teachers in China this summer. When I did this a couple of years ago, I had a really difficult time getting the students to work in groups. They were all comfortable working by themselves and were very reluctant to speak to each other and &quot;share&quot; work.</p>
